What Has Changed?
With the removal of this rule, all shipments—big or small—can now be taxed.
That means if you order an Ethiopian dress from Ethiopia, U.S. Customs has the right to charge import duties or tariffs before your package is released for delivery. The exact cost varies depending on product type and country of origin, so it’s not a fixed fee we can calculate in advance.
So far, none of our customers have been asked to pay these additional fees, but it is important to understand that this can change at any time. If it does, U.S. Customs or the carrier service may reach out to you directly by email or phone before releasing your package.
